We are proud to say that Inverdeaâ€™s flag was flown high, by our very own Duncan Duke, at Wicklow Rotaryâ€™s The Restaurant fundraiser last Friday night in The Grand Hotel.
Duncan was pitched in a fierce battle against fellow Rotarian Theo Phelan.
The objective: to secretly prepare / present a 3 Course Menu to a packed restaurant.
Before both chefs were revealed, guests were asked which menu they preferred to eatâ€¦
Duncan received an impressive 5/5 star rating and was crowned winner!
Duncanâ€™s Winning Menu:
Grilled Goats Cheese & Mango Salad, with a Walnut & Raspberry Vinaigrette.
Braised Burgundy Beef Cheeks with Smoked Pancetta & Mushrooms, with a Creamed Parsnip Mash.
Strawberry Cloud Cake.
Special guest judges for the night were Lisa Murphy and Gerald Keane.
We doubt Duncan will be giving up the day job any time soon, but a good night was had by all!!
